Why do DVD recorders come with 99+ channels when only an auxiliary input can be used to record digital TV? - dvd recorders
When the TV show is no longer available in the UK I will not be able to record a specific channel you choose, is not it? So why are today's DVD recorders with multiple TV Land?

These players are sold all over the world in many countries continue to use analog cables.
Registration should be fine through the AUX input.
